Via Kids programming runs from September to the end of June, Sunday mornings at 10:00 am. We desire to teach and guide children and to disciple them into a relationship with God, who loves them and gives himself to them, drawing us together as one body. We enjoy the fruit of this labour, which is a growing family of brothers and sisters who find joy together in God's mission of redeeming the world. So bring your friends!
Via Kids is an inclusive environment committed to supporting any kids with the desire for this relationship. Children with special needs are welcome and will be fully integrated into our classrooms as we aim to support and grow together as a church family.
Anyone interested in having a support buddy for their needs can inquire at the info desk or email email@example.com.
Nursery (ages 1&2)
For these little ones, we provide a fun and safe space to play, have a snack, worship together, hear a Bible story, or fall asleep in a caregivers arms, if need be! We ask parents to ensure their children are one year old before entering the nursery. Parents of children under one are welcome to use our Parents Room at the back of the sanctuary, or the nursing moms room, which has a live stream of the service.
Preschool (ages 3-5)
We have a separate space with a more advanced play structure we call the 'Via Village.' This space was created for spending lots of energy connecting with Jesus and each other through prayer, thanksgiving, worship, snacks, and Bible storytime. Our curriculum allows children to hear the Gospel and talk about it in a group setting. We hope that each child will learn to hear God's voice, experience his love and acceptance of them while encouraging each other and making new friends!
Grade School Kids (Grade 1-5)
This program will run for the duration of and mirror the adult service by including sung worship, liturgy, and teaching, followed by joining the adult's service for Communion.
Our children begin with worship together, followed by liturgy and testimonies. Then we move to our teaching space where there is a Bible lesson and time spent hearing from the Lord in contemplative prayer and journaling. From there, the kids break up into small groups where they can meet friends and connect with a loving leader and discuss their experiences with the Lord over snack time. Following this the children join the rest of the group to receive prayer from our prayer team before heading into our adult service, to participate in Communion as a family, during the last 20 minutes of the service.
We also have 'activity Sundays' periodically with drama, activities, and games to spice things up for the kids.
*If you are new here; Please see the info desk on Sunday (the big black desk near the front entrance) to register your kids so we can care for them. If you are sending your children on their own, this can also be done Monday-Thursday during office hours*
We look forward to walking alongside the kids and seeing them grow in their faith!
